‘I’m so sorry for your loss’: Adele breaks down in tears as a fan raises her phone to show the singer a photo of his late wife during a performance in Vegas

Adele broke down in tears after watching a man try desperately to show the singer a photo of his late wife on his phone during his show in Las Vegas.

The singer, 34, became emotional as she watched the viewer hold the phone above the crowd and touch her heart as she walked through the audience during her residency show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on January 27.

And after seeing the photo up close, Adele attempted to continue her performance of Someone Like You, before struggling to hold back tears as she dedicated the heartbreaking ballad to the man.

She began, “When I walk through the crowd, I wish you could see what I can see. Because I know I talk to a few people every night, but then I just see little stories of people happening.

The overwhelmed singer continued, “There was a man, he’s right there, holding his phone. I think that’s his wife on the phone, and I don’t think she’s there, and I was really moved by that.

“I’m so sorry for your loss, and I didn’t realize what you were showing me until I got here.”

In December, Adele told the crowd that she was in “five times a day” therapy when she separated from her husband.

Speaking on stage on her show Weekends with Adele, she said: ‘I started going to therapy again because I went a few years without it. I needed to start.

“Before, obviously, when I was going through my divorce, I basically had five therapy sessions a day.

“But I stopped holding myself accountable for my own behavior and the things I would say.

“But now I do it because I just want to make sure I recharge every week to make sure I can give it all to you.”

The star admitted to performing live fillers [her] with dread’ and even if she doesn’t like touring very much, she is delighted with the layout of the residence.

She started crying, adding, “And my whole therapy session this week was really interesting. It was about those shows.

“I’m still so emotional. I love making music, but there’s something about playing live that terrifies me and fills me with dread.

‘That’s why I’m not a big touring artist. I did it last time to prove I could do it.

“But this experience of being in a room of this size, I think I could be a living artist for the rest of my life.”

The Easy On Me singer – who has 10-year-old son Angelo with Simon and is now in a relationship with sports agent Rich Paul – canceled her January residency days before opening night, and she admitted that she did it because she is a perfectionist.
