NeNe Leakes insists her son Brentt, 23, is not gay after TikTok video suggested he just dated

NeNe Leakes has clarified questions about her son Brentt after posting a TikTok video suggesting he had just come out as gay.

Brentt, 23, who recently unveiled his 100-pound weight loss, took part in the ‘If I miss, I’m gay’ TikTok trend which saw him pull a wad of papers out of a trash can – and miss.

After receiving numerous phone calls from friends about the video, NeNe insisted to the Breakfast Club that her son was not gay.

‘I was out of town, and I get all these texts, ‘Oh my God, Brentt is out, he’s gay!’ I was like ‘he is!?’” she laughs.

“Brentt is not gay,” she continued. “He made a popular TikTok trend and everyone is calling us to find out if he is gay or not. Is Brent gay? I do not know…’

‘Oh so it’s not true, he didn’t come out?’ asked one of the hosts.

“Well, not to my knowledge. He called me and he said, “Mom, everyone asks me if I’m gay because I made this TikTok video.” And I said it was good! If you’re gay, that’s fine with me. And he was like, ‘Okay, I’m not a gay mom.’

NeNe said she didn’t know what the “big deal” was after receiving numerous calls from friends about her son’s video.

“And then all my friends were calling him and calling me, worried about whether he was gay or not. I didn’t really know what the problem was! »

‘I don’t have to ask if you’re gay, what I like to tell people is, “You know your happiness is the most important thing.” Right? So whatever makes you happy. If my son today said he was gay, I agree 100%!

“It would almost be like he said, ‘Would you like some tea? It would mean absolutely nothing to me. I believe your happiness is the most important thing.

Brentt posted a video of his mom addressing the video to her Instagram Stories, along with a screenshot of him responding to the clip with lots of laughing crying emojis.

The original video was posted Saturday by Brentt and captioned “Damn #viral #fyp.” Madonna also caused confusion when she took part in the same TikTok trend in October.

The video comes after Brentt unveiled his impressive 100-pound weight loss, four months after suffering a terrifying stroke.

Following his health scare last fall, the star shared an inspiring before-and-after photo of himself, in which he looked visibly groomed.
