Tom Brady made his first red carpet appearance since he and his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen divorced.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, 45, attended Tuesday night’s Los Angeles premiere of “80 for Brady,” starring Jane Fonda, Sally Field, Rita Moreno and Lily Tomlin.
Brady, who also appears in the film, initially looked tense before smiling at the dads. He even threw a peace sign in their direction at one point.
The star athlete seemed much more comfortable when the rest of his teammates, including a starstruck Fonda, posed alongside him.
In his Instagram, he noted how the red carpet was like the Super Bowl “but [with] more cameras!
He even made fun of this “clumsiness” in asking his Twitter fans what one should do with their “hands at a movie premiere” as he shared a video from the red carpet.
For the outing, which he apparently attended alone, he wore a black leather jacket paired with a white sweater, black pants and black shoes.
Besides the cast and Billy Porter walking the red carpet, Lisa Rinna made an appearance at the premiere with husband Harry Hamlin and daughter Delilah Hamlin.
The former ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star accessorized her feathered, sparkly dress with a football clutch.
The athlete’s night out comes nearly four months after her divorce from Bündchen, 42, was finalized. The former couple – who share son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10 – had been married for 13 years.
Brady’s surprising choice not to retire from the NFL would have cost him his marriage to Bündchen.
In September 2022, sources told Page Six that the soccer player and model were living apart after getting into an “epic fight” over whether to return.
“Gisele was always the one with the kids,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “They had agreed that he would retire to focus on family, then he changed his mind.”
Bündchen addressed his “concerns” about Brady’s career in an interview with Elle magazine that same month. (Brady also shares son Jack with ex Bridget Moynahan.)
“It’s a very violent sport, and I have my kids and I wish it were more present,” she told the publication, adding that she “definitely had these conversations with [Brady] again and again.”
The former Victoria’s Secret angel is expected to open up more about her split from Brady in an upcoming Vanity Fair cover interview, a source exclusively told Page Six on Tuesday.
A VF spokesperson told us the magazine wasn’t responding to editorial rumors, but a Condé Nast insider said, “I might see this as a cover to celebrate Earth Month in April, because it’s a subject close to the heart of Gisèle. But it could also be a summer blanket.
