Britney Spears has explained why she just deleted her Instagram account last week.
Fans initially thought something was wrong, leading some to call the police to pay a wellness visit to her home.
But in reality, Britney says she left because of the negativity and criticism people constantly throw at her on the app.
“I shut down my Instagram because there were too many people saying I looked like a dancing idiot and looked crazy,” she said. wrote on Twitter. “Honestly, I was doing my best, but it bothered me to see people talking about it freely on TV…yes, it hurt me.”
Britney added that she was also really “shocked” to see how people reacted afterwards when she deleted her account. “It was really moved,” she continued. “I love my fans, but for those who did this, they weren’t real fans, and honestly, I felt like it was a way to make me look bad!!!”
Britney insisted she was “alive, fine, [and] healthy,” before sharing his appreciation for his “true fans” and expressing his desire to move on.
“[I’m] ready to start a new day — a new morning!!!,” she wrote, adding, “To my true fans God bless you 🙏🏻!!!”

i’m shocked that when i destroyed my instagram the fans got worried and sent the cops to my house 🚔…that was really uncalled for…i love my fans but for those who have it fact they are not real fans and i honestly felt like it was a way to make me look bad!!!
I mean DAMN come on… three girls in a restaurant came up to me yesterday so drunk and loud and sat right next to me with that gross smell of booze and got right in my face… called me back my marriage 💒… I was traumatized…
